OWASP – 2nd December 2011, Luxembourg

The BeNeLux chanpter of the Open Web Application Security project is meeting in December and we will be there, at the forefront of the latest security issues facing application (and OS!) developers. Both Brad and Ton will be representing SecurityBrad / PrentOS so the shop is closed on the 2nd December.

New extended opening hours

From Monday 14th the shop will now be open 11am – 7pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 11am – 3pm for all home and small business computer owners.

At the Wife’s insistence we now close for business at 7pm exactly! If you are running late, there is always another day…

We do get asked where the shop is on StreetView. It is possible for you to see the shop on StreetView but not from directly outside as the picture has not been updated from the days the shop was a fietsmaken!

The shop used to look like this! The shop has always been known as the Service Station – we just kept the name.

We are now offering an new home emergency computer repair service in Rotterdam making our skilled help available 23/7 by calling 06-14 117 422.

Our home emergency service is available Monday to Friday – 8pm to 10am and all weekend to Monday 11am. So when the shop is closed or you are unable to bring your computer to us, our home emergency service will get your computer working again with the minimum of delay.

Typical issues we solve:

• Startup and rebooting problems
• Internet setup and problem solving
• Wireless network setup and problem solving
• Virus / Spyware removal
• Hardware installation and driver problem solving e.g. Graphics card, Sound Card, Networking
• Security testing of Internet and Wireless connections
• Not English or Dutch, no problem – all languages & operating systems fixed!

We promise to be at your home or premises within 2 hours or less from calling us on 06-14 117 422.

For our home emergency service we charge €50 / visit (excluding parts if required) which includes the first 60 minutes of home help. Each additional hour is charged at €25.

If it is not practical or cost effective to repair onsite, we may take your computer to our shop and return it to you when completed. If this is the case, then we will agree a fixed total price for the repair with you first.

One Year Anniversary

The shop officially opened on 17th April 2010, so we will be celebrating our one year anniversary on April 16th with a free bubbles and cake from 12-4pm. If you are one of our hundred’s of existing customers, then we will be offering a free tune up and security makeover service for all computers left with us during the celebration, normally worth €40.

Shop Wedding

Tamara and Brad are getting married on March 14th and celebrating on the 19th, so the shop will be closed both days in March 2011.

Selling your own computer?

Want to sell your computer but not confident with Marktplaats.nl or Speurders.nl then let us sell it for you. We only charge €50 for the sale of a PC or Laptop plus any charges from the online vendor.

In return, we will advertise your computer online with key Dutch websites and also put the computer on display in the shop. Before any computer is put on sale we clean the hardware, and tune the software to get the best experience from it. Potential purchasers can test out the computer here before sale, and for computers in good working condition we also add a three month warranty for the buyer’s piece of mind. We securely wipe all data and reinstall Windows or Linux from scratch then secure it to the Secure IT Fooundation’s Level 3 or 4 standard as appropriate.

All we need is proof of ownership of the computer from you and all original CDs / DVDs / cables etc supplied with the computer.  Want to know more, contact us by email, phone or come and see us in person.
